About the Neighborhood

Rancho Conejo Village is a 900+ home, 24 hour guard gated community on  the west end of Thousand Oaks.  The homes range is size from 1400 square  feet to a handful of custom homes of up nearly 7000 square feet.   Developed by S & S Construction/Shapell Industries, and sandwiched  between Wildwood Regional Park’s Arroyo Conejo and Biotech behemoth  Amgen, Rancho Conejo is conveniently located to shopping, the Newbury  Park Library, The Oaks Mall, Los Robles Regional Medical Center,  restaurants and minutes from Westlake Village and the Camarillo Premium  Outlets.  Rancho Conejo Village Community Association is managed by Gold  Coast Management, and boasts over 90% funded reserves and low monthly dues of $125.   The association’s amenities include 2 Guarded entrances,  2 community pools and spas with one pool heated year round, roving  night time patrol, open space brush clearance and meandering paseos  throughout the nearly 300 acre property.   Rancho Conejo was originally  part of a large Spanish land grant until it was purchased by the Janss Corporation, developer of Westwood, then subsequently acquired by MGM  Studios and finally Shapell Industries in 1977.  The first model homes  were opened June 7, 1991 with Tim Freund and Joanne Butler as sales  people.
